I’m completely self-taught. In the early days I used to jam with friends a lot, and then as I progressed, I learned many things by listening to records and studying written music. I practice for hours every day now and have been doing so for decades. It takes dedication to play well, and I am motivated by my love for music and for entertaining people.

I’m currently using three guitars, mostly: Elsie, a Gibson lc-1 Cascade, is a little cedartop and sounds very bright in standard tuning; Holly, a Taylor 612-ce grand concert, has a gutsier, throatier sound for dropped-D tuning; and Yavonne, a Yamaha dreadnought, sounds very sweet in alternate tunings. I sincerely hope you will be truly pleased!
