<span style=”font-family:comic sans ms;font-size:x-large;”>I got my first guitar thirty-nine years ago, and I’ve been practicing ever since then. All kinds of things, too: ragtime and blues, folk and country, classical, primitive, and originals. It’s very satisfying to play for people. They really enjoy listening and often tell me how much the music has improved their day.

I’m completely self-taught. In the early days I used to jam with friends a lot, and then as I progressed, I learned many things by listening to records and studying written music. I practice for hours every day now and have been doing so for decades. It takes dedication to play well, and I am motivated by my love for music and for entertaining people.

I’m currently using three guitars, mostly: Elsie, a Gibson lc-1 Cascade, is a little cedartop and sounds very bright in standard tuning; Holly, a Taylor 612-ce grand concert, has a gutsier, throatier sound for dropped-D tuning; and Yavonne, a Yamaha dreadnought, sounds very sweet in alternate tunings. I sincerely hope you will be truly pleased!
